Incredibly metaphorical in terms of human life, loss, and love. This book took an unexpected turn to be a tragic love story. Mixtures of a dark re-telling of "The Little Mermaid" and "Frankenstein". Khaw's use of vocabulary made me had to stop and look up words that I had never even seen before.
A very quick read at less than 120 pages. Make sure to read every word from first to last, as there are important details everywhere.
Suitable for mature readers as it has gore.
I would love a sequel to this story to find out what happens next!
